  Legacy Autosport Is a Professional Racing Team run by the Meyer family, whose grandfather and great grandfather was Louis Meyer, The First three-time Winner of the Indianapolis 500 and  Gained fame for starting the tradition of drinking milk after a race win. In 2018 The legacy has continued with the younger Meyer’s (Butch, Mike and Matt) who continue the winning ways of the family.
The team is entirely focused on driver development, with a strong emphasis on not becoming a super team where efforts are spread among too many cars and drivers. Their belief is that drivers  need the focus and attention in driver development and learning how to win. This is Legacy Autosport goal.
Legacy Autosport is based in Pittsboro, Indiana. Located just outside of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, they are in the heart of the Motor Racing Capital of the World.
Louis Michael Meyer, (Owner and Team Manager) has spent the last 13 years in Indy Lights winning 5 Championships, countless race wins, pole positions and 4 freedom 100 races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Louis “Butch” Meyer, (Crew Chief) brings a story book career in automobile racing which includes building IndyCar motors with several manufactures and teams, 5 years as technical director of the Indy Lights program and ownership of an Indy Light team.
Matthew Edouard Meyer, Media, (P.R., Media & Engineering) brings his damper building, turbocharger Designing, technical and electronics expertise to the table, having owned his own damper company, testing and developing dampers with Indy car, Indy Lights and working with countless other series of motorsports as a mechanic and engineer.
